USPTO’s Scientific and Technical Information Center (STIC), named Federal Information Center of the Year for 2005, was presented with the award on March 23, 2006 at the Federal Library and Information Center (FLICC) Forum at the Library of Congress. The purpose of this Federal Information Center of the Year award was “to recognize and commend outstanding, innovative, and sustained achievements during Fiscal Year 2005 by a federal library or information center”. With over 1,200 federal information facilities eligible for the award, winning is no small accomplishment. What is even more remarkable is that STIC was also named Federal Information Center of the Year in 2000. Congratulations to USPTO’s Scientific and Technical Information Center (STIC) on a job well done and for their unwavering commitment to excellence in federal librarianship.
