LexisNexis Certificate of Mastery for Government Librarians
Yes! The LexisNexis Librarian Certificate of Mastery for Government Librarians is starting up again. Attend in person or virtually!
Program Description:
The Certificate program is a great way to keep up professionally. Build your expertise on Lexis Advance. You'll take the classes in-person or virtually with other government librarians and will receive a certificate for the completion of the three-class series.
The LexisNexis Certificate of Mastery Series for Government is taught by Marie Kaddell, LexisNexis Sr. Information Professional Consultant.
Modules in Series:
Module 1 will focus on researching case law and codes. We’ll look at site navigation, search strategies, using filters, Shepardizing, using the Legal issue Trail, and more.
Module 2 will focus on researching regulations, administrative codes, and administrative agency decisions. We’ll look at using filters, Table of Contents, browsing topics and sources, setting up alerts, working with your history, and more.
Module 3 will focus on researching with analytical resources on Lexis Advance. We’ll review secondary sources like law reviews, legal encyclopedias, and legal newsletters. We’ll also go over connectors, search commands, and more.
In-Person DC Sessions: If you are in the DC area, join Marie Kaddell, at the LexisNexis Business Center in Washington, DC for these classes.
