Federal Goverment Librarians: You’re invited to a LexisNexis Government Info Pro Smart Talk.
Come and share your insights and ideas in this online interactive discussion.
Topic: Agile 101: Applying Agile Principles to Libraries
Join your federal colleagues as we focus on a topic that may be new to some of you (and familiar to others): Agile 101: Applying Agile Principles to Libraries.
Brenna Clanton, LexisNexis Government Solutions Consultant will offer a brief introduction into Agile, an iterative approach to project management, and share some examples of how it is being used in the library setting.
Brenna has been part of the LexisNexis Federal Government team for the past four years, and has worked at LexisNexis for over a decade. Although she has put Agile principles to work in both her personal and professional areas for a few years, she recently decided to pursue her certification in Agile so she could learn how to better apply it in non-IT applications.
Federal Librarian Discussion. Come prepared to share your ideas, insights, and experience about how Agile might be applied in your organization with your federal librarian colleagues during the interactive portion of this Smart Talk.
- Have you ever participated in a multi-disciplinary team? Were there any best work practices you found useful?
- What obstacles have you come across when you try to implement change within your organization?
- What are some of the biggest changes you have seen in your workflow in the past couple of years?
- Do you have a need to focus on specific personas, or library users? Are there specific services that those users require?
